Pakistan crushes New Zealand to gain victory

Pakistan recently coming out from the spot-fixing allegation starts a fresh start under a new skipper Misbah-ul-Haq. Their team though inexperienced but showed class against the Black Caps to seal the test cricket on the third day of the test. New Zealand on the other hand carried on their losing streak and face another humiliating defeat in test cricket.

Abdur Rehman bowled superbly without giving the New Zealand batmen any chance to score and also grasped three crucial wickets, along with Tanvir Ahmed who bagged four wickets and continued his good test cricket form. The New and inexperienced Pakistani players would be looking forward to play consistently to fix their spot for the World Cup 2011, as many of the senior Pakistan players are facing either fixing allegations or disciplinary actions or facing injury issues.

New Zealand bowlers bowled inconsistently and the fielder also dropped catches to add to their miseries, while Pakistan hardly gave anything away. New Zealand was dismissed for just 110 in their second innings just overcoming the lead by a few runs. Now Pakistan had already won the game needing a couple runs to assure victory. Abdur Rehman, Umar Gul and Wahab Riaz all grabbed three wickets each to restrict New Zealand to a score of 110.

New Zealand will have to improve their performance if they want to improve their chances in the World Cup 2011 of the ODI cricket. Pakistan on the other hand needs to carry on their winning momentum they have got and players need to be away from controversies in cricket.
