Clint McKay ruled out of cricket World Cup 2011

Aussie fast bowler Clint Mckay one of the pace spearhead is ruled out of the coming cricket World Cup 2011 following stress fracture in his left foot. The Absence of one of top class bowler at international cricket will hamper the already morally down Australia, losing the Ashes recently.

Australia will be aiming to conquer the World Cup fourth time in a row, while the news is blow to them. Mckay will require an operation and a rest of 10 weeks for the recovery. Mckay has been in great form ever since he made his debut for Australia in international cricket. Mckay has 27 wickets under his belt with an average just under 20 in the year 2010. Mckay had grabbed five wickets for Australia when he last played ODI cricket against Sri Lanka.

Australia are to announce their final 15 member squad for the 2011 cricket World Cup next week and will be hoping that they don’t face any more injury woes. Cricket Australia will still be getting the top 15 for the World Cup so that Australia don’t let go of the World Cup that easily. There is more cricket action to be followed, so stay tuned.
